MechTutoring.com is a tutoring service for engineering and mechanical engineering students at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is operated as a sole proprietorship by Parvinder Singh Gill, who is also the person responsible for the protection of personal information under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25 / Bill 64).

- Providing course access — to grant you access to the correct course materials and solution bank based on your enrollment.

- Legal compliance — to fulfill any applicable legal obligations.
We collect your personal information with your consent, which you provide when you create an account or submit a booking form. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services or to meet legal obligations:
- While enrolled: Your information is retained for the duration of your enrollment in any active course or tutoring session.
- After completion: Your account and associated data are deleted within a reasonable period after your last active enrollment, unless retention is required for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Once your data is deleted, it is permanently removed from our systems. You may also request deletion of your account at any time — see Section 8 for your rights.
Data Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement reasonable technical and administrative safeguards, including:
- Encryption: Login credentials and sensitive data are protected using industry-standard encryption.
- Access controls: Only authorized personnel have access to your personal information, and only to the extent necessary to provide the service.

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, including its source, how it is used, and who it has been shared with.
You may request that we correct any inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information we hold about you.
You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to any legal obligations that require its retention.
You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal information at any time. Note that withdrawal may affect your ability to use our services.
You may request a copy of your computerized personal information in a structured, commonly used format so you can transfer it to another service provider.
In certain circumstances, you may request that your personal information be anonymized or de-identified rather than deleted outright.
