Theory of Machines

Kinematic and dynamic analysis of linkages and machines is a principal step in the design process. The main objective of the course is to master the techniques available for kinematic and dynamic analysis of a mechanical system. Detailed study will be performed in the following areas: D.O.F, Instantaneous centers, velocity by instant, component and polygon method, acceleration by polygon method, gear trains and gear design and flywheels.

Timing:

  • Every Sunday 12.15 pm to 2.15 pm, starting on 15th Sept 2024.

Additional Information:

  • If you join the weekly sessions late, the price will remain the same. However, I will provide access to recorded videos of missed classes. These can be viewed on an iPad at my location in downtown, next to Concordia.
